Video Goggles That Don't Look Dorky
Posted by Brad Adrian in "OFF-TOPIC" @ 11:39 PM
Here's a brief FoxNews article that shows off some of the newest types of video goggles. Like most of the kinds we've seen so far, they allow you to view multimedia files that are projected onto tiny screens directly in front of your eyes. These new models, though, have the added benefit of looking fairly chic.
The FoxNews article doesn't provide a whole lot of additional insight into the use of video goggles, but there are a few interesting comments:
• The goggles cost around $700 a pair.
• "Industry experts" are quoted as saying it might be hazardous to use these goggles while driving. Duh.
• There's a description of a family of wirelessly connected devices that sounds pretty cool: goggles, PDA, hands-free set, etc.
I've always wanted to own a pair of goggles like this, mostly so I can use them to watch MPGs on my Pocket PC.
Plus, I keep thinking of just how GREAT they'd go with my eVests!
