It seems Cerience is following Adobe's Acrobat model - sell the publishing software and give the viewer away for free. I think this is great news for those that want to easily publish all kinds of information and not worry about the client. Repligo viewers are available for the Pocket PC, PalmOS, the Nokia 3650/7650 phone, Sony Ericsson P800 phone, all MS Smartphones (standards has advantages huh? ;) ) and Windows desktops.
The publishing and conversion software for Windows desktops is between $24.95 and $29.95. You can also add the button below to your web site encouraging people to download the viewers so they can take your content with them. Over the air downloads are available at their site.
I've been using Repligo on my Pocket PC for several months now and love it. It is the perfect method to transfer long memos, web pages, Adobe PDF files and just about anything else you want to read or view on your device. I'd love to see this take off as a standard for mobile content distribution, and given the quality of the software and the number of platforms supported, I'd say Cerience is on the right track.
