Pharos to Deliver GPS Navigation With Toshiba PDAs Powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Software for Pocket PCs

"Pharos Science & Applications Inc., a leading provider of portable navigation products and location-based services, today announced an agreement with Toshiba's Computer Systems Group (CSG), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., to offer Pharos Pocket GPS Navigator kits with its new Toshiba PDA devices featuring Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PCs.
The Pharos Pocket GPS Navigator allows Pocket PC users to locate their current position, and navigate to their destination using voice prompted, turn-by-turn directions. The graphical map display or text directions will guide travelers to specified addresses or points of interest. Users can also choose to navigate to addresses from their Pocket Outlook contacts, their "favorite" places, and their most recent destinations. The combination of Pharos and Toshiba products creates a powerful navigation solution for business and vacation travelers alike."
I got excited when I saw the title, because I thought it was going to be integrated GPS. Maybe next year...
