New Software Planned for Pocket PC

"Microsoft Corp. on Monday is set to unveil a new software platform for its Pocket PC handheld computers, but analysts say it will not make major inroads into the mobile sector until it introduces improved software for its "smart phones." The latest version of the Windows-based Pocket PC software, which runs on handheld organizers, will include support for integrated hardware keyboards and cameras, new multimedia features and offer improved connectivity, permitting automatic links with wireless hot spots, said Annemarie Duffy, the company's European marketing manager for mobile devices."
