Japanese Streaming TV PDA Prototype
Posted by Janak Parekh in "OFF-TOPIC" @ 03:30 PM
This is perhaps the scariest PDA prototype I've ever seen. 8O Nevertheless, it represents promising future wireless technologies.
"After visited Qualcomm Japan, I told you that pretty soon, Japanese mobile phone companies will propose streaming TV, and espicially KDDI, The Big Big Friend of Qualcomm here in Japan and who is going to introduce later this year the CDMA 1x EV-DO (2.4 Mbps of Data capability on a Mobile Phone !!!) Anyway today the KDDI Labs are introducing us their first prototype of this PDA, which will be able to of course display streaming TV (here with the National Japanese TV , NHK) and in the same time additional informations like on a web page by using BML (Broadcast Markup Language)"
Take a look at the second picture on the page -- and you thought an iPAQ with a dual sleeve was thick? Still, I'm sure they'll reduce the size when the real devices hit the market.
