cyWren Systems provides mobile project management solutions and is well-known for its mobile Microsoft Project companion cyProj. I learned Microsoft Project in 1993 and since then have tried to keep up, at least from an overview perspective, with the product. <ego-detail>I scored 1000 of 1000 points on the Microsoft Project MCP test!</ego-detail>. It's really nice to see a company take care of the cross section between project management and a mobile workforce, which is just what project managers often are. cyWren Systems recently added a new product to its portfolio: cyRisk.
"cyRisk integrates a effective risk management process with your Microsoft®Project 2000 and 2002 data files on the Pocket PCs. The interface to Microsoft Project is via a desktop application and a COM Add-in which analyze and export Microsoft Project files to your Pocket PC file system."
Highlights:
• Manage risks and issues for multiple projects
• Integrated with Pocket Outlook tasks and appointments
• Integrated with Microsoft Project 2000 and 2002
• Share risk tracking assignments with project team members and clients
• Build a risk management plan that is viewable as a web page
• Multiple chart views with risks (Gantt chart, Baseline Gantt chart, Task Tables, etc.)
• Resource tables and resource usage graphics
• Several analysis tools with graphs and tables
• Publish risk management plan to a web page
• Rank and track risks by severity and exposure
• Configurable analysis dialogs
• Support for regional settings (localization)
