PDA Pro Closes Up Shop...but Kevin Comes Here!
Posted by Jason Dunn in "THOUGHT" @ 08:00 PM
PDAPro's "Inside Out" profiles of people in the Pocket PC industry were an interesting diversion from the approach most PDA sites take. I felt flattered to be included in the group, so when I heard that Kevin was shutting down the site, I was saddened:
"Having given this considerable thought for the past four weeks or so I have decided to close down PDA Pro. Since it was launched just over a year ago PDA Pro has achieved a great deal and has been awarded the coveted PocketPC Magazine Best Sites award. We have always been well supported by the software developers, but support from the hardware manufacturers has been virtually non-existent and to run a site with only news and software reviews is to offer half a service.
So, my thanks go to those who did provide PDA Pro with material and to those hundreds of visitors who came to the site every week. I shall leave the site up so people can browse the reviews until such time as the domain name expires."
It's sad to see a Pocket PC site shut down, but I'm pleased to announce that Kevin Tea has accepted my offer to become a part-time writer for Pocket PC Thoughts. He'll continue with his "Inside Out" profiles, and we'll host them. Happy to have you aboard Kevin!
