"A radical new design that promises to revamp and rewire a decades-old staple of electronics -- the battery -- may also be the elusive blueprint for powering so-called "micro-electromechanical systems," or MEMS, futuristic devices no wider than a human hair."
Very cool. Of all the little components in our state of the art Pocket PCs, one has evolved at a glacial pace - the battery. It isn't really a new battery technology as much as it is a new way to package the old technology into a much tighter space. Unfortunately, they are projecting 5 years before these new so called "3-D Array" batteries are widely available. :?
