OmniScout - The Pocket PC Solution for NHL Scouts
Posted by Jason Dunn in "SOFTWARE" @ 03:30 PM
"The difference between OmniScout™ and other scouting information management systems is their differing approach to the process of managing a scouting staff. OmniScout™ conceptualizes the scouting process as long-term project management, following the direction of the Chief Scout, adhering to a “Critical Path” thought out well in advance and constantly modified to meet the needs of the organization. OmniScout™ makes the assumption information generated by each individual team represents a team’s confidential “scouting intelligence” and if properly thought out and implemented, that unique “scouting intelligence” will become that teams’ competitive edge. For that reason, OmniScout™ forces you to work harder to create and implement your scouting system – creating your competitive edge over other teams. OmniScout™ grows with the scouting staff, and helps the scouting staff to grow, by enabling individual scouts to explore their own scouting beliefs and practices – creating their own organizing principals and information sources. OmniScout™ is not a “solution” – it is a means to build your own solutions and set your scouting staff apart from the rest of the NHL."
It's always cool to see a Pocket PC application filling a specific niche, and what could be better than hockey? I don't know if there are any NHL scouts reading this site, but if there are, you need to look at OmniScout - it's a very interesting product!
