Possible Pocket PC 2002 Alarm Bug Fix?
Posted by Jason Dunn in "SOFTWARE" @ 11:45 AM
I received an email message from someone who would like to remain anonymous, but claims he has a workaround for this issue. This workaround makes a lot of sense, because it would explain the extremely intermittent nature of this problem and why it was so hard to figure out.
"The core problem is that the process that sets the alarms only runs about every 3 seconds. So, if you change the alarm you need to leave the device on for several seconds (10 is a good number) or just let it power itself off to be extra safe."
I know that when I'm setting an alarm, I'll set it and turn it off right away - before the three second process would run. Test out the workaround and let me know if it works.
