Socket continues to bring important software and hardware to the Pocket PC market. They recently started shipping a new Software Development Kit for "Image Capture Plug-in Bar Code Scanner Used with Pocket PCs and Tablet PCs". Follow the link to learn more.

(NASDAQ: SCKT, PSE: SOK), the Mobile Connection™ Company, today announced the availability for shipping of a software developers kit (SDK) for its newest image capture bar code plug-in scanner, the In-Hand Scan Card-Imager. This bar code scanner incorporates new miniature image sensor technology to enable image capture by mobile computers running Windows CE. It also greatly expands the types of bar codes capable of being scanned with Socket’s family of mobile bar code scanning plug-in products. Markets where both bar code scanning and image capture may be required include package pickup and delivery, auto insurance claims, sales automation, law enforcement and field service."
