Remember that NHL Pocket PC app we posted about a while back? It's been turned into a full-fledged application suite that will be sold to other NHL teams, all based on Pocket PCs. Excellent to see Pocket PCs being leveraged in a good ol' Canadian environment.
"There are other scouting programs on the market but what may set this one apart is that it was not only developed with the input of a scouting staff, it can be integrated with the NHL's data base. All the stats, schedules and contractual information, from base salaries to performance bonus clauses, can be accessed along with all the game reports the scouts have submitted. It is information teams already had access to but now it is available anywhere, anytime -- and that is the feature that most appeals to the general managers and the hockey operations staff."
