A particularly vexing problem for some Pocket PC users is how to get that darn backlight to stay on when you're viewing something on the screen but not actively interacting with the Pocket PC. All the software players I've seen seem to have no capacity to tell the OS that the device is actively playing back content and shouldn't turn the backlight off.
