Meet Chris "PHP" Edwards
Posted by Jason Dunn in "UPDATE" @ 11:01 PM
He's been helping behind the scenes for a long time now, but I'd like to officially welcome aboard Chris Edwards as Webmaster for Pocket PC Thoughts. Way back in the day, I used to be able to run a web site and spit out some decent code. But as sites become more dynamic, the bar for coding rises - and let's just say that I exceeded my reach many months ago. Chris brings a powerful grasp of PHP to the table, and he's saved me on more than one occasion when my execution of HTML code was a little less than stellar.
Chris will be a vital part of our team as we grow the site in new ways - we are close, oh so very close, to having both a new desktop template for the site and a mobile version. I'll talk more about this later, but the goal for both versions is to give you the best experience possible given the factors involved with each scenario. I just calculated today that the full version of my site as a Mazingo channel was 3240 KB - I'm surprised I haven't received more flames about this, but it clearly points out the need for a dedicated mobile version.
So please, put your virtual hands together, and give Mr. Chris Edwards a big round of applause - he's helped make this site what it is today.
