Where Jason is an avid user of Resco Picture Viewer, I couldn't get used to that program. Since its first release, I've always had IA Album on my Pocket PC as my major picture. I guess I was too familiar with the IA user interface to easily make a transition to another program. But I did think the digital camera support in Picture Viewer was very cool. So I was pretty excited that IA Style reports:
"We have just released new versions of IA Album, our photo viewer for Pocket PCs, and IA Presenter, for viewing and displaying Microsoft PowerPoint slides on Pocket PCs. The new version of IA Album is focused mostly on new features for use with digital cameras. The new IA Presenter adds compatibility for the MARGI Systems Presenter-to-Go, as well as some new zoom features and other effects."
Improvements
IA Album 2.3
New Browse Flash Card command searches the external flash storage cards extremely fast.
Improved speed of thumbnail generation for JPEG files with built-in EXIF thumbnail data.
A new "Histogram" feature shows the thumbnail image, filename, and its associated Histogram. You can select which Channel of the histogram to display: Luminance, Red, Green, or Blue.
Zoom Enhancement: New Drag-n-Zoom feature, and more versatile Zoom Slider.
Thumbnail/List/Filename Mode Improvement.
Additional EXIF information is displayed if it is available, such as Exposure Time, F Number, Exposure Bias Value, Date and Time.
The Folder tab now provides optional Storage Card-related information.
Slideshow enhancement: Great control over thumbnail size and display style.
Supports Colorgraphic's Voyager, and MARGI Presenter-to-Go VGA output card.
IA Presenter 2.15
A stand-alone IA Presenter Converter is provided, so that you can choose to convert the PowerPoint files into .IAP files on the desktop PC, and move them onto the Pocket PC at any convenient time.
A new Zoom command is added for slides' Zoom In and Zoom Out on the PDA's LCD screen.
Along with the Voyager VGA card, it now supports the MARGI Presenter-to-Go VGA card and its remote controller.
The upgrades are free for all current registered owners.
