Materials Matter
The quality of the Vaja case is truly unmatched. I've seen leather cases from other manufacturers, and while the craftsmanship in all of them has been solid, the materials that Vaja uses truly set these cases apart. When you order the case you have six options for leather—the review unit I have is Vaja 864 in Green Grain leather (Figure 1). At the time of this writing, three of the leather choices were sold out. The stitching on the case is a light tan, and has a nice contrast with the rust-colored leather. The stitching is clean and tight against the leather.
Custom Designed in Every Way
One of the things I like most about all Vaja cases is how well they are designed for their particular Pocket PC. Rather than a generic "sleeve" design that would work with all models for Pocket PC, Vaja has taken a different tact: they create cases that are completely customized to the device. With the Jornada case, they've cut away the leather in the right spots to allow easy access to the record button and microphone, jog dial, reset button on the back, and the headphone jack on the top.

Because the case is designed for a Jornada without the front cover, Vaja has added a front slot for the stylus. Opening the case, you find three slots for cards (Figure 2) and a deep slot in the top lid for storing cash or small papers. The power button is exposed for easy access when the case is open, and there are holes cut away for the speaker as well. The four quick-start buttons have no leather around them, giving you easy access for launching applications or playing games (Figure 3).

Dimensions
The Vaja case adds slight bulk to the Jornada, but because the leather is thin, it doesn't make the case bulky. The Jornada in the case is 3 inches wide, 5.25 inches long, and 0.8 inches in depth. This case model includes a belt clip, making it easy to snap on and carry with you. The belt clip is quite sturdy, and rotates 360 degrees easily. The case is very lightweight, and even with the belt clip, only adds a small amount of weight to the Jornada.

Gotchas
There's no slot cutaway for access to the CompactFlash card slot. So if you want to swap cards, you'll need to open the case. More serious though is inability to accept CompactFlash cards with antennas like the Enfora Pocket Spider. You can only use CompactFlash cards that are flush against the top of the Pocket PC.
The only other downside, if you can call it one, is the cost. The case is more expensive than other leather cases on the market, but I consider it well worth the cost considering the superb manufacturing. If you're willing to spend a little more money, you'll get a lot more case.
Conclusion
If you've read this far, you'll already know what I think of this case. The incredible construction and attention to detail make this a case that will easily outlive the life of your Pocket PC. I've had a Vaja case for my iPAQ for over a year, and it has worn extremely well. If you want to carry your Jornada Pocket PC around in style, this Vaja case is your best option.
