Well it's nice to know that SOMEONE is using the Jornada 928, even if it isn't me. Thanks to RSKT for the link.
"Policemen on patrol in Housing Board estates will soon be able to tell on the spot if a loiterer is a drug addict or criminal, and whether he lives in the neighbourhood. From next month, about 150 officers will carry with them a palmtop that can access the particulars of people with a criminal record, as well as the registered numbers of stolen vehicles kept in the police data bank.
But the information can be accessed only with a password. If all goes well during the six-month trial, all officers will carry the customised Hewlett-Packard Jornada 928. Called a personal digital assistant (PDA), it is a time- and space-saver because, at the moment, officers have to call the operations room in the police station for information, or carry a laptop in their patrol car."
